First built in 1678, it was reconstructed in 1930 after its destruction in an earthquake. Work finished on this Gothic-style church in 1948 and it is now one of the most well-known monuments in Cali.

The Church of San Francisco
Built in the 19th century, this church is famous for its altar in marble and wood and holds many valuable paintings and religious artefacts. Near the church lies the San Francisco Monvent with its pictures what minaret and belfry.
The oldest church in Cali, the first mass was celebrated in 1536. Of particular note inside are the figures of the Virgin of Las Mercedes, a Sevillian wood carving from the sixteenth century, and the Virgin of Los Remedios.
The convent next to the church houses two museums worthy of visiting - the Archaeological Museum and the Colonial Museum San Antonio Church
The top of the hill is crowned with the charming chapel of San Antonio de Padua, a colonial church built in 1747.
