Founded in 1881 it is the oldest museum in Medellín. The works of Fernando Botero, a world renowned Colombian artist, are permanently exhibited here. The museum offers diverse displays, that go from Pre-Hispanic, Colonial and Republican art, to Contemporary and Experimental. And it also offers varied services to the public which include: art workshops, concerts, restaurants and much more.

The Nutibara Hill

One of the best places to overlook the city, where you can also go and visit The Paisa Village : a beautiful duplicate of the towns of Antioquia.
travelers can enjoy a lovely view from this Medellín landmark and visit permanent exhibits of local and foreign artists at the Sculpture Park.
A small replica of Antioquia’s towns, known as Paisa Village, shows examples of traditional adobe houses with clay tiled roofs and handsome balconies, where typical Colombian handicrafts, such as carrieles, or shoulder bags, Panama hats, ceramics and wooden articles are on sale.

The Joaquín Antonio Uribe Botanic Garden

It exhibits an exotic and very complete display of live plants, offering an extensive show of orchids, the most representative flower of our country. The Garden allows the visitor to learn and rest in a pleasant atmosphere.

The Inteligent Building

For its structure and its architecture, it stands as a symbol of the future city of Medellín. Its technical equipment allows for an optimum utilization of resources and the saving of energy.
The Metropolitan Cathedral

Located at the Bolivar Park, this Romanic style cathedral is third largest of its kind. It was the first ever to be built in baked mud with 1,120,000 bricks. Valuable works of religious art adorn the inside of the Cathedral. They include windows made in Spanish stained glass, marble holy water fountains and stations of the cross, and a Holy Sepulcher in carved wood, among others.
The Metro of Medellín

Currently, our city takes the lead with its most recent system of massive transport. The Metro, the only one in the country, is recognized as the most modern of Latin America. Its two lines cross the city from North to South and from East to West. Our metro is the most comfortable and safe way to travel around Medellín. Each station is located in a strategic place, which allows you to visit the most representative sites of our city.
El Peñol Lake

This artificial lake 70 kilometers from Medellín, where water sports, such as sports fishing, are practiced, is dominated by a huge rock 100 m in diameter, known as El Peñol. Tourists can ascend the 60,000 ton, 200 m-high rock by climbing some 650-stairs to enjoy a view of the Antioquian landscape.
